Start with the task identity
The fixed task turns a workshop note into a brief for independent consultants. It then applies separate review, correction, and checkpoint export.
The preview names the two-hour offer, confirmed-detail constraint, and unsupported Saturday sentence. “Write something” would hide the source boundary and later review.
All example details on this page are synthetic. They reveal no private setting, account, or performance measure.
Inspect five public-safe fields
A useful preview can show:
- task type: source-grounded content synthesis;
- evidence need: the supplied workshop note;
- consequence: an unsupported schedule could distort the brief;
- work path: extraction, synthesis, separate review, correction, and export;
- stopping behavior: stop when schedule or price lacks support.
These fields explain the decision without exposing private thresholds or machine configuration.
Check whether the reason matches the job
The preview should connect its path to an observable task property. In this example, synthesis needs judgment because section order changes the reader's decision.
The independent review receives a distinct role because the first brief can exceed its source notes. The final export follows fixed rules because its contents are declared in advance.
Treat overrides as visible choices
A person may select a different path for a clear reason. Record that choice with the task rather than hiding it inside a session.
The preview remains explanatory. It does not establish that one model is superior or that every system can perform the task.
Know when the preview should stop the job
If the notes required for the content brief are missing, the preview should identify the gap before synthesis. If review criteria are absent, it should state that the comparison cannot proceed.
A clear stop protects the artifact from plausible but unsupported completion.
Fit and poor fit
A preview helps when task type, consequence, or review changes the chosen path. It adds little to a fixed file copy with one known outcome.
