Choose the file boundary before the software
Start with the files the job must read. A private interview transcript, unpublished financial model, or client planning note creates a different placement decision from a public product description.
Then name the result. If the job can begin with selected files and end with one readable document, table, or data record, you can evaluate a workflow that stays on your computer without assuming a wider account experience.

Follow one file job from input to result
The bounded examples on this site begin with supplied files, apply a defined job, and leave JSON, CSV, HTML, or another readable result for inspection. That evidence shows the file transformation. It does not turn a demonstrated job into a promise about every computer or source format.
The useful proof is the relationship between input and output. You should be able to point to the selected material, state the rule applied to it, open the result, and identify the condition that would have stopped the work.
Make remote work an explicit choice
Keeping the working files on your computer does not force the model to run there. You can choose a remote connection, but name that destination before any file moves. A vague “AI” setting cannot carry that decision for you.
When the task uses a model on the same computer, keep that choice equally explicit. If the named connection cannot perform the task, stop and choose another route. Do not let convenience silently change where the source material goes.
Use local placement when it earns the friction
Keeping work on one computer can improve control over selected files and outputs. It also makes that computer responsible for storage, access, backups, and any model process used by the job.
Choose this placement when source control and portable results matter more than shared access. Choose a managed service when several people need the same state, the workflow depends on remote events, or another party must operate it while your computer is closed.
Leave with a result another tool can read
The final file is the exit test. JSON can preserve structured fields. CSV can support tabular review. HTML can make a result readable without a specialized editor. The right format depends on who must inspect or transfer it next.
Before choosing the workflow, write one line for the source files and one line for the result. If either line stays vague, the operating location is not the first decision to solve.
